I had a busy Saturday and didn't have time to work out in the morning like I usually do. When I finally got around to it in the afternoon, I wanted to get in a quick workout, something that would keep changing it up and provide a nice sweaty challenge. I originally thought to do a P90X, but only had the first series, which are typically an hour or so. I didn't have time for that.
I knew that I wanted to incorporate both cardio and some upper body work (my legs were kind of sore), so boxing immediately came to mind.
Here's how to do it:
Perform the first exercise in Set 1 for one minute before moving to the second exercise and performing that for one minute. Repeat five times (for a total of 10 minutes) without resting. Rest 1-2 minutes before moving on to set 2, followed by set 3.
Set 1
Box (with a bag or shadow boxing)
Jumping jacks (if you're wearing gloves, keep them on)
Set 2
Push ups (your choice what kind - I like triceps or diamond push ups)
Plank (30 seconds elbow plank, 15 second side plank on each side)
Set 3
Box (with a bag or shadow boxing)
Sit ups with double punch at the top
Enjoy!
