Less than stellar

For some reason, I've been very tired and sore lately.  I don't know what it is - maybe I haven't been eating that well or haven't been getting that much sleep or have been working out too much.  Maybe it's allergies. I don't know. But I just haven't been feeling super energetic.  Which has made my workouts less than stellar.

I've had to keep this in mind, especially this past week.  I skipped my workout on Wednesday in favor of a bit more sleep.  I had a very slow, very hot and sweaty run (or more like slow jog/walk) on Saturday when it was humid out.  And I couldn't help but fall asleep on the couch on Saturday afternoon.  Yoga on Sunday was also less than stellar for me.

It's kind of annoying.  Not so much the skipping the workout on Wednesday or taking a nap on Saturday.  Those things happen from time to time.  It's the less-than-great workouts that kind of frustrate me. 

But I guess that happens sometimes too.  I just need to realize that sometimes I need a bit of a break.  And I'm not going to have a great day every day.  And that's fine.  It's better to listen to my body, to take a break when I need it than to run myself into the ground. Because getting hurt or sick will just make me even more frustrated.
